Kukkapallojen hymyklubi

Kukkapallot eivät ole tavallisia kukkia. Ne ovat kuin luonto olisi päättänyt tehdä omat ilmapallonsa, mutta sen sijaan että ne leijuisivat narun päässä, ne leijuvat ilon päällä. Teos syntyi kuulemma siitä, että kukat halusivat kokeilla, miltä tuntuisi olla hieman pyöreämpi, hieman hassumpi - ja paljon iloisempi. Ne kerääntyivät yhteen kuin pieni kukkakomediakerho, jossa jokainen pallomainen kukka yrittää kertoa oman version "mitä tuuli sanoi tänään" -vitsistä.
Hymyhuulet ovat teoksen virallinen kieli. Kukkapallot eivät puhu, mutta ne hymyilevät niin leveästi, että jopa vakavimmat ohikulkijat joutuvat antamaan periksi. On nähty tapauksia, joissa katsoja yrittää pysyä totisena, mutta kukka pallojen lempeä nauruenergia nostaa suupieliä kuin näkymätön nosturi. Kukkapallot eivät myöskään kilpaile keskenään. Ne vain kelluvat omassa hyväntuulisessa rytmissään, kuin olisivat päättäneet, että elämä on liian lyhyt olla olematta vähän hassu. Ja siinä ne onnistuvat: teos tuntuu kuin luonnon oma stand-up-ilta, jossa jokainen kukkapallo on oma pieni koomikkonsa. Jos huomaat hymyileväsi, se ei ole sattumaa. Se on kukkapallojen hiljainen tavoite – ja ne ovat siinä aika hyviä.
The Flower Ball Smile Club

These flower balls are no ordinary flowers. They are as if nature decided to make its own balloons – except instead of floating on strings, they float on joy. The artwork was born from the flowers’ desire to be a little rounder, a little sillier and much happier. Together, they form a cheerful little comedy club, where every flower has its own version of the joke: “What did the wind say today?” Smiling is their official language. The flower balls do not speak, but they smile so broadly that even the most serious passer-by may find it difficult not to smile back. They do not compete with each other. They simply float in their own cheerful rhythm, as if they had decided that life is too short not to be a little silly. If you find yourself smiling, it is no coincidence. Making people smile is the flower balls’ quiet mission – and they are rather good at it.
